Marc is a graphic designer, artist, and educator whose work examines the role of visual design and communication in the production of personal and collective identities and the identities of shared environments. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design at The George Washington University.
His multidisciplinary practice encompasses analog and digital methods, limited-run prints and publications, and client-based projects. He is also a founder of Track and Field, a collaborative publishing initiative whose work often investigates the relationships among personal, public, and geographic histories within the popular American imagination.
Marc holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA in Graphic Design from James Madison University.

In addition to his independent creative practice, Marc served as a senior designer on the Experience Design team at the Art Institute of Chicago, where he helped develop strategies to expand the museum’s interactive capabilities and improve both the digital and physical visitor experiences. Notable projects include designing the virtual tour accompanying the Barbara Kruger exhibition, Thinking of You, I Mean Me, I Mean You, as well as visual design for The Language of Beauty in African Art and Morris and Company: The Business of Beauty. Previously, as a consulting designer and art director for The New York Times, he collaborated with teams across the organization to develop multi-channel marketing campaigns and digital product initiatives aimed at audience growth, engagement, and retention.
